This was a personal project that I had crowd funded by Unbound books. I had to get a thousand people to pledge £30 a copy. It got reprinted and sold a second thousand copies

BRIEF

Create a 320 page labour of love. It was based around 500 photographs I had taken as a youth in the nightclubs of London in the early 80’s. I designed it, persuaded Boy George, Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet and Steve Strange to write forewords and commissioned Chris Sullivan to scribe a worts and all text. The broadcaster Robert Elms wrote the introduction and I interviewed most of the leading protagonists from this influential and highly creative scene. It’s the real insiders tale. All copies got sold and these now sells on Ebay and Amazon for incredible amounts
